T2-7 Solid earth geophysical and geochemical processes

Geological, geophysical, and geochemical observations provide a unique record of the evolution of polar regions through time. Solid earth  processes such as mountain building, rifting, sea floor spreading, and erosion provide the boundary conditions for climate change and the  growth and breakup of ice sheets. This session will consist of IPY  studies that seek to constrain these processes, either in the present day or throughout the geological record.

Session in theme: Theme 2. Past, present and future changes in Polar Regions
