Reminder: Call for abstracts

The Call for Abstracts for oral and poster presentations in The IPY 2012 Conference From Knowledge to Action opened mid July. Conference organizers invite you to submit abstracts on the latest polar science, as well as the application of polar research findings, policy implications and how to take polar knowledge to action.
The IPY 2012 Conference is taking place in Montreal, Canada April 22-27, 2012 and will be one of the largest and most important scientific conferences for polar science and climate change, impacts and adaptation.
The Call for Abstracts closes September 30, 2011.

Beware that the program is devided into four overarching areas:
Area 1 - Science Highlights and Area 2 - Synthesis and Integration (29 sessions)
Area 3 - From Knowledge to Action (17 sesions)
Area 4 - Public Engagement, Education and Outreach (9 sessions)
I addition the conference will feature an Indigenous Knowledge Exchange. Indigenous Arctic leaders, policy and decision makers, researchers and youth are all invited to contribute to the planning of this important program element. The Indigenous Knowledge Exchange could include a variety of activities, such as oral presentations, posters, roundtable discussions, workshops, cultural demonstrations and displays, etc.
